With a hub height of 100 metres and a nominal output of 2.05 MW each, the first deliveries for the construction are starting during summer 2012 and the commissioning is planned in December 2012.
Olivier Perot, Managing Director of REpower’s French subsidiary REpower S.A.S. comments: “We are very pleased that REpower turbines are employed in two projects of La Compagnie du Vent. This highlights the strong partnership built with GDF SUEZ and its subsidiaries. With both wind farms the installed capacity in the region of Bourgogne will almost double from 70 to 120 MW in the future. ”
Jean-François Innocenti, Director for construction of La Compagnie du Vent, GDF SUEZ Group, states: “These two wind farms represent the most important project that our company has ever built in France. At the end of 2012 La Compagnie du Vent will almost operate 300 MW of wind energy capacity, of which 80 MW are realised with REpower turbines.” He also adds, “La Compagnie du Vent builds its first wind farms in the Bourgogne region.”
With a wind energy market share of 26% regarding new installations in 2010 according to MAKE Consulting, REpower S.A.S., a fully owned subsidiary of REpower Systems SE, was the second largest manufacturer of wind turbines on the French market. The company was established in 2002 and now employs around 150 people.
