Suzlon bagged a deal to deploy its wind turbines for a 75.6-megawatt wind power plant rising in the state of Rajasthan, northwest India.
Chennai-based wind energy company Coromandel Wind Energy and Suzlon signed an agreement for Suzlon to provide 36 of its 2.1-MW wind turbines for the wind power project. The deal is valued at 4.7 billion rupees ($90 million).
Under the agreement terms, Suzlon will supply, set up, operate and maintain wind power project for Coromandel Wind Energy. The facility will be commissioned within the fiscal year 2012-2013.
