The wind power project will consist of 50 wind turbines with an installed capacity of 115 MW. Once completed, it will be one of the largest wind energy plants in the country.
Skanska will be responsible for all the balance of plant scope under an EPC scheme. The scope includes planning, design, procurement and construction of all roads, foundations, buildings, and electrical systems including two substations and a 1×220 kV transmission line. The wind farm will be connected to the Chilean national grid.
Works have already commenced and the project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2013.
