“Canta RES” wind farm is located to the east of the town of Çorlu in the Trakya region in Western Turkey. Thanks to the proximity of the wind farm to the Marmara Sea, mean annual wind speeds are between 7.5 and 8.5 metres per second. With a rotor diameter of one hundred metres and a hub height also of one hundred metres, these turbines, which are specially configured for this wind class, can produce 185 gigawatt/hours of clean energy per year. The wind farm is to be handed over to the customer this year.
Boydak Holding is a leading industrial conglomerate in Turkey with activities in the furniture industry, home textiles, telecommunications and energy, amongst other things. In the energy segment, it wants to increasingly operate hydro and wind power plants in Turkey and establish a local wind power capacity of up to 400 MW in the medium term.
