The plans are subject to final approval from the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and construction is scheduled to begin in 3Q 2012. The plant will use 124 Siemens (NYSE: SI) wind turbines and is expected to be complete by early 2014.
The Ontario Clean Technology Alliance is a group of 11 regional and municipal partners teamed with federal and provincial trade and innovation ministries. The group aims to attract more wind industry players to the province.
