"We have necessary storage facilities. Only because of that we were able to provide electricity without any break to people of this State for the past few days," he said, adding, Tamil Nadu occupied the number one position in wind power generation when compared to other States in the country.
"Tamil Nadu is top among all states by generating 42 per cent of total wind power generation in the country," he said.
He said due to increase in wind power generation, several parts of the State were free from load-shedding for the last few days.
Mr Viswanathan said "in some areas, residents called up the local Electricity Board office and asked the reason for the power supply not being cut as part of the routine two-hour load shedding."
