In the early and mid-2000s, Crabb served in the California legislature where he staffed and helped write Senate Bill 1, a 10-year, $3.2 billion California Solar Initiative (CSI) legislation that greatly expanded California’s PV market. Crabb was a key stakeholder in California’s enactment and ongoing refinement of other landmark California solar policies, including the 33% RPS, net-metering, and the FIT and RAM programs. "I am honored to be joining CALSEIA. I look forward to working to ensure the continued growth of all facets of the California solar business. Changing markets bring opportunities, and CALSEIA is well positioned to move California policy forward on behalf of its member companies," Crabb said.
Mr. Crabb will assume his role as Executive Director immediately. Look for him at CALSEIA’s Solar Summerfest Event on July 10th in conjunction with the SHC 2012 and Intersolar Exhibition and Conferences in San Francisco.
CALSEIA is a solar industry trade association, formed in 1977, with approximately 150 member companies that include contractors, manufacturers, distributors, consultants, engineers, and service providers working in California’s solar marketplace.
