Planting a sapling to mark the occasion, Dr Abdullah said research was going on to create energy from sun, wind and other natural resources so as to ensure access to electricity at every door-step.
Organised by the Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation (Education Wing) and Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, the campaign seeks to provide inspiration to students to develop their personality as well as social and spiritual values.
It was also aimed at educating students about the importance of eco-friendly steps to protect the environment and help them to get rid of bad habits, addictions and superstitious beliefs.
