Siemens AG (SIE) will supply seven 3-megawatt direct-drive turbines to the Holzacker-Knorburg community wind power plant in northern Germany.
The deal for the SWT-3.0-113 machines also includes a 20-year service agreement, and the wind energy project spanning the municipalities of Enge-Sande and Stadum is due for completion in the third quarter.
The information was earlier reported by reNews and confirmed today by Bernd Eilitz, a Siemens spokesman. He said a statement about the project will be issued on Monday.
